Events should be occasions for people to get together, have fun, and enjoy some entertainment. However, as we know, they can also be occasions that provide the opportunity for violence and other acts of terror. Because of this, the Department of Homeland Security provides event security guides for event planners and tips for attendees that could diminish the opportunity for violence at events. See the following documents for guidelines from the DHS, and always adhere to the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign.
